What Reddit Lite is for
Reddit Lite is the quick look. One subreddit or one search, a few dozen posts, no configuration to speak of — the answer to 'what is being said about this right now' when you do not need a research project.
It suits recurring lightweight checks: what questions came up in a community this week, what is trending in a niche, whether a launch registered anywhere. Simple enough to run in a minute and read immediately.
It shares the same underlying data as Reddit Pro but trades configurability and volume for simplicity.
How it works
Supply either keyword queries or a subreddit name. Choose a sort — relevance, hot, top, new, or most-commented — and a timeframe from the last hour to all time.
Set a maximum post count. Most useful runs sit between twenty-five and a hundred posts, which is enough to see a pattern without becoming a reading assignment.
Comment collection is available with its own cap if you need the discussion beneath a post, though at Lite's per-result price a comment-heavy run is usually better served by Pro.
Optional sentiment and content analysis flags add a first-pass read of tone, which is handy when scanning a large result set quickly.

Limitations worth knowing
At ten credits per result it costs more per post than Reddit Pro's three. Lite is priced for small runs; anything substantial should use Pro.
One subreddit or query at a time. Comparing communities means separate runs.
As with all Reddit data, authors are pseudonymous — good for understanding a market, not for building a contact list.
Small samples mislead. Twenty posts from one week is an anecdote; treat it as a prompt to look further, not as evidence.
